Wes has over 25 years of experience in business operations, strategy, and investing and has been with AGR Partners as an Advisory Board member since its inception. In 2017, he joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. Wes serves on the Board of Cobalt Cattle and Shell Rock Soy Processing.
Prior to AGR he served as President and Chief Operating Officer and led the restructuring process of Movie Gallery Inc. He also helped to successfully turnaround a semiconductor and disk drive materials company. In 2002, he founded and led Yardconnect, a venture-backed ecommerce marketplace serving the forest products industry. While at Koch Industries in Wichita, Kansas, Wes worked for the Capital Services and Equities business group where he was part of a team leading leveraged buyouts and strategic investments in specialty chemicals. Wes began his career at McKinsey & Company in Chicago where he advised clients in agriculture, utilities, telecommunications, and financial services.
Wes graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. in Animal Science and then attended Oxford University on a Rhodes scholarship where he received a B.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Wes is a director on the board of The Ford Family Foundation and his family has a diversified farming business in Oregon. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife and two children.
