They were motivated by both their professional and personal experience in agribusiness. Having launched prior agriculture funds, the principals know that investing in agribusiness requires a patient, partnership-based approach with company management teams. It also requires investor partners who have a long tenor to capture the value inherent in agribusinesses and in this positive secular trend. By leveraging their experience and networks, and demonstrating visionary thinking, the AGR team and advisors have built a private equity firm that addresses the complexities of the industry, the cyclical nature of agriculture, and the duration needed to achieve real returns.
