Ronald joined AGR as an Advisory Board member in 2013 to assist with investment pipeline development. In 2016, Ronald agreed to increase his engagement with AGR with a focus on helping build and manage its growing investment team. Ronald joined AGR after a 20+ year career with the Rabobank organization. Ronald established and managed new banking offices for Rabobank in Chile, Poland and California, where he was responsible for hiring and developing a series of high performing cultures. Ronald also served as CEO of Rabobank NA in Sacramento, California from 2006 to 2012. Rabobank NA is the retail banking subsidiary of the Rabobank Group in California and focuses on serving rural areas and farmers. Under Ronald’s leadership, the bank grew from $2.8 billion in total assets to $13 billion through organic growth and several acquisitions.
Prior to relocating to California, Ronald was Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Banking and Corporate Finance for Rabobank International’s London branch, where he oversaw relationship banking, leveraged finance, and mergers and acquisitions for corporate agribusiness clients in the UK and Europe. During his tenure, he transformed a low-performing entity into a creative, client-focused, and highly motivated commercial unit. Ronald also managed Rabobank operations in Germany, Poland, Singapore, and Chile. Prior to working for Rabobank, he spent seven years working for ABN AMRO Bank in the Netherlands. Ronald has a degree in Economics from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam.
Ronald has three children and lives in Loomis, California with his wife.
