Greg is president of Kincannon & Reed, the world’s leading retained executive search firm in agribusiness. The firm’s clients include many of the world’s most influential companies and non-profit institutions, and its motto is “We recruit leaders for organizations that feed the world and keep it healthy.” Greg joined Kincannon & Reed in 2001, and six years later banded with two other managing directors to acquire the firm from its founder. Before entering executive search, he was a senior international executive. As CEO, Greg led the successful turnarounds of a Pepsi-Cola® bottling company in Mexico and that of Latin America’s largest fertilizer producer and exporter. Prior to these posts, he was Vice President of Marketing & Development at Terra Industries, where he had broad strategic planning and acquisition responsibilities and directed several of the organization’s key product lines, as well as product development and technical support. In his early career, he was a consultant for McKinsey & Company; and as an Associates Fellow he wrote case studies for Harvard Business School’s Agribusiness program. Greg received a B.A. from Augustana College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is a native of South Dakota, where he grew up on a mixed grain and livestock farm and experienced early career failure as a classical musician. Greg and his wife live in Virginia.
